Welcome

Our Vision: To see communities turned upside down through the next step of obedience.

Service is at 10:30 every Sunday – we would love for you to join us!

We are so glad you stopped by! In today’s world “church” is many things. Our aim is to be the Church as Christ intended: imperfect people loving imperfect people. We want to welcome those who enter our doors, for the first time or for the 100th time, to feel accepted and loved. We want to reach out and make a difference in our community. We want to do life together as a family – working through any difficulties that may arise, being an example of what love really is. And we want you to be a part of that!

Take some time to look around.  Please make sure to contact us for any questions – we will be happy to answer.

I'm New

Welcome

We are so glad you decided to find out more about Dayton First Church of God. We hope you will take the time to look around. Be sure to contact us if you have any questions.

What to Expect

At Dayton First Church of God, we have a “Come as You Are” attitude. No expectations and no requirements for stepping through the front door. Each week we have greeters at both entrances. If you have any questions or need any help, let them know and they will be happy to assist you. Find out more about what we believe here. And get to know our staff and Elders a little bit better here.

giving

We believe in cheerful giving (2 Cor. 9:7). How is God calling you to generosity?

By giving to this church you are helping to make a difference in the local community. Not only are you helping to keep the lights on here, but you are also empowering individuals to “go and make disciples,” caring for the “least of these,” and turning our community upside down!

Thank you for joining us in spreading the Gospel. We are eternally grateful.

More About Us

We Believe...
That The Father, Son & Holy Spirit

are represented in Scripture as distinct persons comprising One God.

that the church

is comprised of all born-again believers - those who together confess faith in Jesus Christ.

that salvation

makes you a member of His Church and a member of the Church of God Reformation Movement.

that the people of God

are to be holy as He is holy (1 Peter 1:15-16), and that this life of holiness is available to all without exception through what was accomplished on the Cross (John 3:16).

the Bible

is God's Word to us, which was given by inspiration of God and "is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness: so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

that you

are to be the church where God has placed you—at work, home or at play.

that the practical application

of His Word is to be lived out in community, as together we fulfill the “One Anothers” of the New Testament, and as we reach out to those in the community who may not know Jesus as their Savior.

when Christ returns

He is coming to get his own and in judgment. In John 6:38-40 Jesus said “For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it upon the last day. For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.” There are no more days after the last.

We believe that every person in the body of Christ has a role to fill. Serving one another and serving our community is central to our relationship with Christ.

We have many avenues for you to jump in and become a part of the vision for furthering the Kingdom.

On Sundays, we have opportunities for greeters, help with coffee and refreshments, teaching classes (on Sundays or other days of the week), help with the children, Worship Team, and more. Talk to a staff member if you would like to get plugged in to a Sunday morning opportunity.

Throughout the week there are many behind the scenes opportunities as well. We can use help with social media, visitations, and more. Talk to the Board of Elders about these unique opportunities.

We also offer various outreach opportunities throughout the year. These events require the entire church body working as one – the perfect time to take the next step of service.

We offer classes Sunday for all ages ranging from 3 to adult. Classes start at 9:15 AM. Classes are as follow 3 years of age through 5th grade, Youth Group and Adults (adults meet in the sanctuary and are currently studying Ephesians.)

Wednesday evenings services are at 6pm. We encourage you to attend and also submit your prayer request to be prayed over.  We believe growth in the Kingdom comes when we are growing together!

Hope to see you soon!
